Formulation Guide: Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent & Heavy Duty Laundry Powder with Anhydrous Sodium Metasilicate

This is the second article in our Technical Application Guide for Anhydrous Sodium Metasilicate. It provides two complete working formulations for concentrated liquid laundry detergent and heavy-duty laundry powder, using Anhydrous Sodium Metasilicate as the key alkaline builder.
Formulation 1: Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent
Product Positioning
- Application: High-concentration machine laundry detergent

This formulation is designed for concentrated laundry detergent systems requiring strong detergency, good stability and excellent washing performance.

Manufacturing Procedure
Step 1
Heat deionized water to 40-45℃. Add AES and mix until completely dissolved.
Step 2
Add CAPB and AEO-9. Continue mixing until the surfactant system becomes uniform.
Step 3
Slowly add Anhydrous Sodium Metasilicate Powder Premium Grade while maintaining continuous agitation. Mix for approximately 30 minutes until fully dissolved.
Step 4
Add sodium carbonate, sodium citrate, sodium polyacrylate. Mix until homogeneous.
Step 5
Cool the system below 35℃. Add enzymes, preservative, optical brightener, fragrance, colorant. Mix thoroughly.
Step 6
Allow the product to stand for deaeration. Filter and fill into containers.

Manufacturing Procedure
Step 1: Dry Mixing
Premix Anhydrous Sodium Metasilicate Granular Grade, sodium carbonate, 4A zeolite, CMC, TAED until evenly distributed.
Step 2: Add Functional Components
Add AES powder, sodium sulfate, enzyme preparation, coated sodium percarbonate. Mix carefully to avoid damaging enzyme activity.
Step 3: Granulation
Add approximately 8-12% deionized water. Perform high-speed mixing or kneading until suitable granulation conditions are achieved.
Step 4: Drying
Spray drying conditions:
