Understanding Silicon-Based Flame Retardant and its fire safety advantages
Our Silicon-Based Flame Retardant is a new-generation water-soluble, non-toxic fire protection solution. Available in both liquid and solid powder forms, it provides highly effective flame retardancy with anti-dripping and smoke-suppressing properties. The Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) exceeds 29%, ensuring reliable fire protection across diverse applications.
Unlike traditional halogen-based flame retardants, our silicon-based formulation is environmentally friendly and safe for human contact. It significantly improves the fire safety of polymer materials while enhancing material processability, heat resistance, and the mechanical properties of finished products.
Three variants are available — Novel Silicon-Based (liquid/solid), Powder Premium Grade, and Powder Grade I — all meeting the same rigorous chemical specifications for SiO2 content, heavy metal limits, and LOI performance.
